I just started creating these guides, please be patient while I catch up with the game.
Season 4 will start with a 2 week pre-season.
The Season 4 icon will appear just below the Duel VS icon on the right side of your screen.
The countdown will indicate when your server will enter the actual Season 4. You will notice that the countdown might not align with the server reset as every server can be scheduled at a different time. Usually once the countdown hits 0 it takes 10 to 30 minutes for Season 3 events to start.

The Story
Teaser
🌸 The once-beautiful “Sakura Isle” was a secret paradise in people’s hearts — blooming cherry blossoms, towering volcanoes, distinct seasons, peaceful and serene. Now, it has been completely swallowed by darkness.
☁️ Thick clouds loom overhead, power has failed, and the entire area is shrouded in dense fog and eerie silence.
🌑Meanwhile, a mysterious virus is spreading across the island. Legends speak of an ancient “Oni General” who seems to have awakened along with it.
❗Rumors say:
- Strange tanuki parade floats have appeared in the streets under the dark sky;
- Islanders have fallen into an eerie silence — the once-bustling hot spring town is now completely deserted;
- Everyone is searching for clues about the “Light”… Are you ready to be the first to ignite the dawn?

This is the mail you will receive on your account when Season 4 is about to start.

The mission
Sakura Isle is a beautiful island lying quietly in the Eastern Ocean.
Legend has it that this land was once shroud in clouds all year round, and when night fell, the Oni General would appear, leading a horde of demons. They paraded through the streets in eerie Wandering Oniwagon, moving in ghostly processions. A miasma of death hung heavy over the land. Any passerby who strayed into their path would be swiftly attacked and instantly reduced to dust. Grotesque in form, these Oni bore twisted horns, hooked claws, and razor-sharp fangs. Some even sprouted tails and wings, as if they had crawled forth from the depths of darkness itself.
Until one day, the ancestors of the Samurai clan’s Koubutai and the Ninja clan’s Kage no Sato joined forces. After a grueling battle, they slew Oni General—and only then did Sakura Isle see the light once more. Cherry blossoms bloom, volcanoes rise tall, and people live and cultivate their land amidst the changing seasons, with tranquil years and favorable weather.
However, peace was not meant to last. The remnants of the Doom Legion reawakened the long-sealed power of the oni — an ancient virus known as ONV (Oni Virus). They injected the virus into the popular idol Kageyama Ryjiran, turning her into Subject Zero, granting her the ability to control the infected. But what they didn’t expect was that the ONV would awaken the will of the Oni General. That dark soul refused to be controlled, instead backfiring on Rydran, instantly obliterating the Doom Legion and reclaiming its dominion over Sakura Isle. Under the drive of the ONV, Ryiiran built the Nightfall Device, and darkness once again enveloped the entire island. In the name of her idol persona, she held a concert, quietly spreading the ONV among the crowd.
The virus, active in the darkness, quickly spread, and Sakura Isle soon descended into silence.
Sarah, the hero who once learned ninjutsu at Kage no Sato, gathered a wealth of intelligence for our army. She is the one among us who knows Sakura Isle the best.
Commander, it’s time to go to the battlefield. We can harness electricity to ignite the light, use its radiance to dispel the darkness, and illuminate the entire island. At that time, the oni will have nowhere to hide, and the light will return to Sakura Isle!

Pre-Season
Season 4 has a pre-season of 2 weeks, similar to Season 3.
There is not much to do during these 2 weeks, but the game allows you to get familiar with theme of the new season, and it previews some of the main elements.
First Pre-Season Week
During the first pre-season week the following elements of the menu appear:
- Season 4 main timeline tile
- Season Boost (Pre-Season)
- Season Preview, that only shows a teaser

Season 4 main timeline tile:
This tile allows you to enter the main Season 4 timeline, but currently only a few buttons are available:
- the i that shows you the story (check the mission section)
- grouping: it reveals which warzones you will face during the season
- rules: it shows only the Week 1 in game manual rules of the game
- rewards: preview of the Season 4 rewards

Season Boost (Pre-Season):
This tile reveals the boosts that will be in effect.
When the Season starts the boosts regarding the heroes will be hidden and they will be shown again when the corresponding hero event happens, enabling the actual corresponding boost.

Season Preview:
Clicking on Season Preview tile will give you a teaser of what that event is about. The Season Preview will actually unlock at the beginning of the second week of Pre-season

Second Pre-Season week
During the second pre-season week the main change is that the Season Preview tile becomes available.

For each day of the week, once the goal is met the details are uncovered and you can collect a reward:

Once a daily goal has been completed you can collect some rewards, clicking on the chest icon with the red dot:

In game manual – Rules
For those who want to see the in game manual here we go, you will find such rules explained in the various section of this guide anyway

Season 4 Cheat Sheet
There are many similarities between Season 3 and Season 4, so to make it easier let’s create a comparison for a few topics:
Season 3 | Season 4 | |
![]() | ![]() | The most important resource on which results of Season 4 are based. |
![]() | ![]() | Used to upgrade seasonal buildings |
![]() | ![]() | Used to upgrade seasonal buildings |
Blessing Fountain | Quartz Workshop | Same logic, Quartz Workshop produces Quartz. |
Curse Research Lab | Optoelectronic Lab | They are used to increase resistance to Curse in S3 and Virus in S4 |
Desert Blessing | Magatama Shop | Exchange items for rewards. |
Radar Mission Desert Ruins | Radar Mission Izakaya Bar | Radar mission with game based on luck to win some important rewards |
Desert Artifacts | Maneki-neko | The usual rewards randomly scattered on the map you can find and reclaim |
Purge Action | Purge Action | Exact same event based on killing zombies |
Digging Stronghold Clash | Digging Stronghold Clash | Exact same event based on capturing digging sites |
New Basic Resources – Stone and Quartz
Additional resources are available now in the game: Stone and Quartz.

Quartz:
Used for constructing and upgrading seasonal buildings.
You can earn Quartz through:
– First Time Level Zombie Kill Rewards
– Generated by Quartz Workshop
– Completing Season Quest missions
– Completing Season 4 Goals
– Using Hero’s Return Recruitment ticket in S4: Legend Returns
– City first capture reward
– [I will soon add also events that generate quartz]

Stone:
Used for constructing and upgrading seasonal structures
You can earn stone through:
– First Time Level Zombie Kill Rewards
– Visitors (in front of the wall of your base)
– Completing Season Quest missions
– Completing Season 4 Goals
– Doom Walker First Blood Kill (First DW kill of a day)
– Using Hero’s Return Recruitment ticket in S4: Legend Returns
– Weekly Pass and Season Battle Pass (biggest boost)
– City/Digging Stronghold first capture reward
– [I will soon add also events that generate quartz]
The World and the Map
The world changed again, the map is composed by 3 different types of buildings: cities, digging strongholds and trade posts. Additionally we can find the Holy Mountain and the Divine Tree.

At the beginning of the season you and your allies will find yourselves stranded at the edge of the server (but still all together as alliance hive), with no owned city. Cities must be re-conquered, but new rules apply…
Doom elite monsters are transformed into night wolves, and most of the zombies need a high virus resistance to be killed.

The New Map
This is how the map looks like:
The map size is the same as Season 3: 13 * 13 squares, each square is 75*75 “pixels” (your base size is 3*3).

[If you created this map please contact me so that I can give you credit here, I found it on official discord]
Click the following link if you want the high quality version of the map above: High quality Map
NEW: More community tools and maps for Season 4 can be found in the Community page, they can help you plan captures and winning strategies
And here the official map released by Last War:
Official Map

Click the following link if you want the high quality version of the maps: Overview Map
Visitors
2 new types of visitors arrive in front of the wall every once in a while (the ones on the left after a few hours, the one on the right once daily), and they gift stone resources .

Radar Missions – Izakaya Bar
A new type of radar mission arrives with Season 4: Izakaya Bar. It is similar to Season 3 Desert Ruins.
Unfortunately, even if you complete all 7 rounds, there are not Season medals as rewards as there were in Season 3.
An izakaya (居酒屋) (Japanese: [izakaja])[1] is a type of informal Japanese bar that serves alcoholic drinks and snacks. Izakaya are casual places for after-work drinking, similar to a pub, a Spanish tapas bar, or an American saloon or tavern.
wikipedia

In this video you can see how I win all 7 rounds and all the rewards I can collect.
Once you complete all 7 rounds:
- you can collect all the rewards
- you win “The Chosen one” title
- you also earn a Lucky Charm Golden Egg

New Buildings
New types of buildings are available during Season 4.
IMPORTANT: Seasonal buildings will disappear at the end of Season 3, so purchase items only if you are aware that they will help you only temporarily in Season 4.
Optoelectronic Lab
The Optoelectronic Lab allows you to enhance your resistance to virus, to defeat Elite zombie and Digging Stronghold protectors. To upgrade it you need Quartz, it can go up to max level 30 (to be confirmed if it can go to 35).
Additionally this building increases your Maximum Brightness.

Levels and attributes
The info about levels, resource costs and time can be found in the following Google Docs Spreadsheet: Link to document
Find out more tools for Season 4 in the Community page
Quartz Workshop
Quartz Workshops produce Quartz , they are similar to blessed fountains in Season 3. They can go up to max level 35.
Multiple Quartz Workshops are available. To unlock them level up the previous Quartz Workshop (they are named Quartz Workshop I / II / III / IV / V ). Once a workshop reaches level 15 it unlocks the next workshop to be built.
To level up Quartz workshops up you need Stone , so refer to the article about the new resources in season 4 to know how to retrieve them.

Optimal upgrade strategy
One important thing to note about Quartz Workshops is that all level ups will increment the production by 720/h regardless of the level, while the stone cost to level up a workshop increases with the level.
So to maximize quartz production follow this strategy:
- Build first quartz workshop and upgrade it to level 15
- Build second quartz workshop and upgrade it to level 15
- Build third quartz workshop and upgrade it to level 15
- Build fourth quartz workshop and upgrade it to level 15
- From now on upgrade all workshops by one level to bring them all to same level first. Example: all to level 16, then all to level 17, etc.
If you buy the weekly pass you have an extra quartz workshop since the beginning. In this case the best strategy is to keep upgrading the extra quartz workshop and the first quartz workshop at the same level until they both reach level 15 and then continue with the strategy explained above.

Lighthouse
[Available soon]
Alliance Center
Go to Alliance button -> Alliance Center -> click on the coordinates to locate the Alliance Center in map.
Day 2 of Season 3 your alliance needs to construct the Alliance Center.
Once the Alliance Center is built, it produces copper/h and it provides buffs to all alliance members within its range.
IMPORTANT: copper production values might be changed by devs, don’t use the images as reference for those values. Check the levels paragraph below for info on how to access that information.
The max durability of the Alliance Center is 200,000.

Additional Buildings:
Once the Alliance Center is built you can see that additional buildings will be unlocked in time.
In Season 3 the additional buildings were unlocked when a certain level of the Alliance Center was reached, while now in Season 4 the additional buildings will be unlocked following a time schedule that is the same for all alliances.
This change will make it more fair during Wars, in which additional buildings will allow to loot more copper.
It seems that now there are only 3 additional buildings instead of 4.

Stone Warehouse
This building produces 40,320 Stone/h and it is unlocked after 7 days since the Season start.
Production stops if the building is damaged. If destroyed, the alliance loses a corresponding percentage of copper.
Enter the Alliance Center page and click on the stone you see on the Alliance Center construction as shown in the picture here to collect the produced stone.

Oil Warehouse
This building produces X Oil/h and it is unlocked after 14 days since the Season start.
Production stops if the building is damaged. If destroyed, the alliance loses a corresponding percentage of copper.
Enter the Alliance Center page and click on the oil you see on the Alliance Center construction as shown in the picture here to collect the produced oil.

Magatama Warehouse
This building produces X Magatama/h and it is unlocked after 21 days since the Season start.
Production stops if the building is damaged. If destroyed, the alliance loses a corresponding percentage of copper.
Enter the Alliance Center page and click on the magatama you see on the Alliance Center construction as shown in the picture here to collect the produced magatama.

Levels
The level of the Alliance Center progresses automatically based on the accumulated Copper.
A higher Alliance Center level grants a higher power (gained from the Advanced Geothermal Generators deployed in the Alliance Center), to alliance members within the territory.
The info about levels and attributes can be found in the following Google Docs Spreadsheet: Link to document
Find out more tools for Season 3 in the Community page

Relocation
The Alliance Center can be relocated. To relocate it you need to build the relocation spot, similarly as done to built the initial Alliance Center. This is the same as Season 3 Alliance Center relocation.

IMPORTANT: Once you place a relocation spot for the Alliance Center, you cannot move it. You must complete its construction at that location. After it’s fully built, you can either move your Alliance Center to it, or it can be attacked and potentially destroyed by enemies.
When the relocation spot is first placed, it is protected while under construction. Once the build reaches 100%, that protection ends, and enemies can attack it.
- If its durability drops to 0, the relocation spot is destroyed, and you can then create a new one elsewhere.
- However, if it’s completed but damaged (i.e., durability is less than 100%), you cannot move your Alliance Center to it until it’s fully repaired.
Be cautious: if you don’t move your Alliance Center soon after completing the relocation spot, and enemies repeatedly attack it without destroying it, you could end up stuck—unable to use it or place a new one until it’s fully rebuilt.
Alliance Resource Farms
It has been confirmed that we will not spawn Alliance Resource Farms for Season resources.
Many of us were using these Alliance Resource Farms in previous Seasons to allow to an elected Virus/Curse Resistance Leader to progress very fast to be able to kill sooner Doom Elites and Digging Strongholds Guardians.
This choice was made by devs to be able to steer better the pacing of the Season and to align the season resource production to the season events.
Cities
City capture follows City Clash S4 event schedule.
Owned cities produce Copper that is fundamental to win Season 4, and the amount depends on the city level.

City Copper production per level:
- Level 1: 100/h Copper
- Level 2: 200/h Copper
- Level 3: 300/h Copper
- Level 4: 400/h Copper
- Level 5: 500/h Copper
- Level 6: 600/h Copper
Level 6 Cities
There are 4 level 6 cities and this is their disposition

North (Top)

East (Right)

South (Bottom)

West (Left)

City capture limits
As we can see from Alliance Button -> Alliance City:
- Daily City war declaration limit: 2
- Max Captured Cities: 6
- Daily Digging Stronghold captures: 2
- Max Digging Stronghold captured: 6

Digging Strongholds
Digging Strongholds are locations on maps that allow to dig Stone. They are similar to dig strongholds of Season 2 and 3.
They are protected by Oni Samurai / Oni Dōji / Oni Tengu. The higher the level of the Digging Stronghold the stronger the protector.
The digging strongholds produce Stone/h based on their level:
- Level 1: 100/h Stone
- Level 2: 120/h Stone
- Level 3: 140/h Stone
- Level 4: 160/h Stone
- Level 5: 180/h Stone
- Level 6: 200/h Stone
[All levels images available soon]
Level 6:

There are 3 different types of protectors of the Digging Strongholds, each with its own weakness.

Season Passes
During Season 4 you have access to multiple passes that will help you throughout the season and to power up your heroes. They are similar to Season 1/2/3 passes.
Season Battle Pass
The Season Battle Pass lasts 48 days and it gives you lots of goods that you absolutely need in this new Season 3 to start with an advantage.

The Season Battle Pass is structured in 3 sections:
- Freebie
(1st item column in Rewards) - Game Advanced ~11,99 €
(2nd and 3rd item columns in Rewards) - Game Season Luxury ~23,99 €
(4th and 5th item columns in Rewards)
One of the most important item is stone .

IMPORTANT PURCHASE LOGIC:
- Purchasing the Game Season Luxury pass will NOT automatically give you also the Game Season Advanced items, as they are seen as 2 different purchases to do. So if you want the items of both Advanced and Luxury columns you need to buy ~11,99 € + ~23,99 €.
- By purchasing either the Advanced or the Premium pass, you unlock double rewards (Combat Rediness Points that allow you to unlock rewards in the first tab) for daily tasks.
In fact, once you completed a daily task activity, you can collect the rewards clicking on “Claim” and afterwards, you will also be able to click on “Claim more” to receive those rewards again.
So for maximum benefits, purchase passes on the first day they’re available; otherwise, you’ll miss out on double Daily Tasks rewards that in this case are Combat Readiness Points that unlock the items you need.

To see all the details check out this video in which you can see:
- The list of points and rewards
- Daily missions
- Target missions
- Rewards for advanced/luxury pass
Weekly Pass
You will be able to purchase this pass during the whole season (48 days).
Once purchased it will last for 7 days. During these 7 days you will have access to the exclusive additional Blessed Fountain.

- Additional Quartz Workshop: while the weekly pass is active it will produce quartz. This feature will expire with the pass.

Season 4 Quests
The Quests section (icon above Heroes button) gets enhanced with newly added season main and secondary Tasks.
This addition is quite important because the main rewards are stone and quartz.
The logic is the same as the daily quest missions you are used to since the beginning of the game.
Below an example of current tasks:

Season 4 Alliance Milestones
Season 4 re-introduces milestones, as the ones we saw at each Season.
You can access the Milestones and claim rewards going to “Alliance” button -> Season Milestones.
Here we can find some hints of what is going to happen in the Season.

Season 4 Rewards
Season Rewards are of 2 types:
- Alliance rewards, that are based on tiers based on conditions met at Season’s end. The reward tier remains fixed after settlment.
- Faction rewards
Alliance Rewards
Once you meet the condition of a tier you will see the corresponding trophy with a ribbon like the following image. The rewards are based on the conditions met at the end of the season.

I go through all the details of the rewards and tiers in this video, check it out.
Faction Rewards
Season 4 is also centered around factions, with rewards for both the winning and losing sides.
Please note that Optoelectronic Lab level 20 or above is needed to obtain faction rewards.
