Overall Season Game Modes

Season 4 introduces many new game plays, we will explore them in this article.

There is one game mode that will last throughout the whole season: Blood Night Descend.

It is a new concept of game play, that happens daily and evolves every week.

Blood Night Descend

This event starts day 2 of week 1.

The game is designed to be dynamic, evolving progressively through four distinct stages, each unlocking weekly:

  • Stage 1 begins in Week 1
  • Stage 2 in Week 2
  • Stage 3 in Week 3
  • Stage 4 unlock time is still unknown, it is not week 4

During the event, Blood Night will descend daily at 2:30, 10:30, and 18:30 (server time).

Each Blood Night lasts for 30 minutes. During this time, commanders will be affected in certain ways.

  • During the event, Blood Night will descend daily at 2:30, 10:30, and 18:30 (server time).
  • When the Blood Night Descends a few things happen: zombie and Doom Elites become stronger and more resistant.

World zombies start walking on their own, they will attack bases that are in the darkness.

During Blood Night Descend you will be able to do first kills again starting from level 1, so take advantage of that and kill boss zombies and collect the tactic cards they will drop (max 5 daily). The First kills is global, meaning that if during one blood moon descend you do first kills of level 1 to 4, than you can continue the next blood night descend from level 5.

Additionally world zombies will drop tactical cards, so be careful when you kill them to collect the cards.

Light system effects

IMPORTANT: The power consumption/min will be increased by 18,000/min during the Blood Night Descend rounds.

So basically during each Blood Night Descend round you will probably run out of power and your lights will go off.

You can activate the “Lighthouse Brightness Auto-Adjustment”: When power gained is less than power consumed, the lighthouse brightness will automatically decrease. When power gained exceeds power consumed by the the next lighthouse level, the lighthouse brightness will automatically increase. Click on the Control Panel to access the section for this option.

Stages

Stage 1

Stage 1 starts week 1.

  1. During the Blood Night, Zombies and Doom Elites will wander around. If the base is in the Light state, it will be immune to their active attacks.
  2. During the Blood Night, you can search for Blood Night Zombies. The first kill reward for Blood Night Zombies is independent.
  3. Drop rate for Tactics Cards after defeating zombies increases

Buffs/Debuffs:

  1. As the dark mist thickens, lighthouse power consumption at full brightness increases to 18,000 per minute
  2. Zombies are strengthened by the Blood Night, required virus resistance +500
  3. During the Blood Night, the drop rate of Tactics Card Packs increases by 30%

What to do:

  • Keep your Lighthouse at L1 at least, this will avoid world zombies and doom elites to attack you during blood night descend
  • Wait for Blood Night Descends to start
  • Kill world zombies and elites. During blood night descend they have again the first kill mode and it makes you earn a lot of rewards:
    • Tactical cards (keep an eye on the popup when you collect the rewards of current kills, you will see there tactical cards drop locations)
    • Magatama items
    • Stone
  • Use electricians when you send your squads to kill enemies to receive a buff
  • Kill Oni Generals: they are monsters that show up during blood night descends in cities, and until you kill them the cities will not provide their buffs. It’s important to say that you can only attack Oni Generals that are in cities you own. Oni Generals are pretty strong, so they must be attacked with rallies.

Once a Oni General is killed:

  • It drops oil rewards that you can go gather. They are not alliance tiles, they are simple oil supplies that only one squad can gather
  • The city buff starts working

  1. During the Blood Night, the Wandering Oniwagon will appear in the world, which cannot be attacked while moving.
  2. Use the skill [Disruption Mine] to destroy the armor of the
    Wandering Oniwagon. When their armor reaches 0, rally attacking towards them is available.
  3. Once the Wandering Oniwagon is destroyed, a Kappa will appear. Eliminate the Kappa to obtain epic tactics cards.
  4. Drop rate for Tactics Cards after defeating zombies increases

Week 2 Game Modes

Now let’s talk about week 2 game modes:

Ryōtei Restaurant

Ryōtei Restaurant is an event that starts in the second week of Season 4 and it evolves in stages.

It resembles the famous Mahjong Solitaire game and the rules are very simple.

Rules

Each day that passes will add a new stage with increasing difficulty. If you didn’t complete a stage in the previous day you can complete it later on.

Visitors and gift items

Starting from week 2 some visitors will gift you some of the items you see on the bottom of the game screen during the Ryōtei Restaurant game.

Rewards

If you are able to complete the stage without using any of the Remove/Recall/Shuffle item, then you will receive additional perfect clearance rewards (only stage 1 does not give perfect clearance rewards).

Video of all Stages

You can find a video of each stage on this YouTube Playlist: Season 4 Ryōtei Restaurant of my YouTube Channel @LastWarTutorial.

Divine Tree

The Divine Tree is an event that starts in the second week of Season 4. It is composed by 2 stages:

  • Charge the Divine Tree
  • Fortune Drawing

Rules:

  1. Sakura Isle is shrouded in eternal night, causing the ancient Divine Tree to fall into slumber. Commanders must charge and activate it to restore the light;
  2. The event consists of two phases: Charging to activate the Divine Tree and Fortune Slip Drawing to get rewards, starting by default from the charging phase;
  3. In the first phase, commanders can dispatch electricians to charge the Divine Tree, gradually lighting it up;
  4. When the charging progress of a warzone reaches the target, the Divine Tree fully awakens, granting generous rewards to participating commanders and automatically entering the Fortune Slip Drawing phase;
  5. After awakening, from Tuesday to Saturday each week, commanders receive one Fortune Drawing Chance daily to obtain exclusive blessings from the Divine Tree;
  6. Each fortune drawing randomly yields one of five slips—Fire, Water, Wood, Metal, or Earth. Upon drawing five slips in total, commanders earn combination rewards that bring good luck and victory in the Battle of Sakura Isle.

The most important part of this game is the fact that once the Divine Tree is recharged it will give a buff during the blood night descend to increase +250 Virus Resistance (it’s the first symbol in this picture with the golden tree, it is a buff)

IMPORTANT: a new mode of Divine Tree was introduced lately in Season 4, I will document it soon.

Charge the Divine Tree

In this first video you will see how to access the event and specifically:

  • Locate the Divine Tree
  • Send/Recall Electricians

Contribution to recharge the tree will be rewarded based on a ranking.

Fortune Drawing Part 1

Now that the Divine Tree is fully charged we can draw fortunes. In this video you will see that I can only turn 4 out of 5 slips.

But for each slip I already receive rewards. I will have to wait for the last slip to unlock on day 6 of week 2 to draw the last fortune and receive rewards based on the combination of the 5 slips.

Fortune Drawing Part 2 + Rewards

In this video you can see how flipping the last slip allows me to collect rewards from the Divine Tree

Divine Blessing Fortune Draw Rewards

From Tuesday to Saturday, each day 1 slip will be unlocked, and on Saturday once you flip all slips you received the corresponding rewards based on the combination of fortune draws.

In this video the possible rewards and all their details.
