In this article the Tactics Cards will be discussed.

They are an amazing new feature that can give you a lot of boosts if you know how to play them correctly.

I will list all the available cards so that you can get used to them and be ready for when Season 4 starts, and I will give suggestions on which are the most useful.

IMPORTANT: Tactics Cards can be earned/obtained during Season 4, after Season 4 you will be able only to use the Core Cards you own in that moment, with no possibility to earn more.

Overview

Tactics card are a new feature available in Season 4.

They are accessible through the profession hall clicking on this icon:

Or you can play them directly on some targets.

Below is the in game manual, but we will discuss all of this in the next paragraphs.

Types of Tactical Cards

Tactical Cards can be of 3 types:

Core Cards

Battle Cards

Resource Cards

Core Cards:

  • They provide: Base Stats and Tactical Skill
  • The Base Stats are passive boosts applied when the card is installed
  • The Tactical Skill is a powerful skill (similar to a profession skill) with a passive effect, a cooldown or a maximum daily use count
  • Core cards can be leveled up with same named Core cards.
Core cards can be enhanced using Professional EXP.
Core cards can NOT be dismantled to create Tactical Fragments.
  • These cards will NOT be removed when Season 4 ends.
  • These cards are only UR level

All the Core cards are described in the index of Core Cards

Battle Cards:

  • They provide: Basic Effect and Random Stats
  • The Basic Effect are passive boosts applied when the card is installed
  • The Random Stats are passive boosts that are randomly assigned to the card. They can go from 0 up to 3. Once a card is obtained the corresponding random stats will become immutable.
  • Same named cards can (and probably will) have different Random Stats
  • Battle cards can NOT be enhanced using Professional EXP.
Battle cards can be enhanced using Tactical Fragments.
Battle cards can be dismantled to create Tactical Fragments.
  • Battle cards will be removed when Season 4 ends and they will be converted to professional EXP. Check the end of the Season 4 for more info
  • These cards can be SSR, SR, R level

All the Battle cards are described in the index of Battle Cards

Resource Cards:

  • They provide: Basic Effect and Random Stats
  • The Basic Effect are passive boosts mainly focused on resource/items retrieval that can have daily limits
  • The Random Stats are passive boosts that are randomly assigned to the card. They can go from 0 up to 3. Once a card is obtained the corresponding random stats will become immutable.
  • Same named cards can (and probably will) have different Random Stats
  • Resource cards can NOT be enhanced using Professional EXP.
Resource cards can be enhanced using Tactical Fragments.
Resource cards can be dismantled to create Tactical Fragments.
  • Resource cards will be removed when Season 4 ends and they will be converted to professional EXP. Check the end of the Season 4 for more info
  • These cards can be SSR, SR, R level

All the Resource cards are described in the index of Resource Cards

Card Deck

It is possible to install (deploy) in your Tactics Cards Deck up to:

  • 2 Core cards
  • 4 Battle cards
  • 4 Resource cards

Based on the profession you choose there are different requirements in time and profession level to install cards.

IMPORTANT: the Core 1 slot requirement has been lowered from Profession level 80 to Profession level 50 on the 30th of July 2025.

To deploy tactics card there are some requirements:

  1. All your squads need to be in the base to add or replace a card
  2. Core cards with a running cooldown time (because the skill was used) cannot be changed until the cooldown is over.
  3. You cannot install a card that has the same name of another already installed.

If you are not yet familiar with the tactics cards, or if you don’t want to get familiar, you can use the Quick Equip button and just let the game automatically deploy the best set of cards you own for the corresponding use case:

  • Sustained Combat
  • Rapid March
  • Defense Support
  • Monster Destruction

Earn Tactical Cards

The game allows to earn a specific amount of tactical cards daily, specifically:

  • Up to 20 cards daily using tactics card effects
  • Up to 5 cards daily killing world zombies during Blood Night Descend (random drop).
  • Every other way of obtaining cards (check next paragraph) is excluded from these 2 daily limits

Currently it is a bit tricky to see the current value of these limits, let me show you the steps:

  • Enter the tactics cards section
  • Enter the page to unpack card packs
  • Go on a card pack type for which you have 0 packs
  • Click on Obtain

And finally here you can see the limits for both ways of finding the cards.

Let’s list all the ways through which you can earn cards :

  • Blood Night Descend First kills of world zombies and doom elites(not all levels give cards) . Daily limit applies: 5
  • In the open Tactics card page in the upper right corner you can find the point progress bar, clicking on it will open it. For each Tactics card pack you open you earn points, and you can progressively unlock rewards.

Opening Tactics Card pack allows you to earn points to progressively unlock rewards.

During a Season, if you reach 5000 points you can collect all the rewards and then the progress bar is reset and it starts from 0 progressing again.

There is no set limit of times you can cycle through this progress bar, in Season 4 early servers up to #400 were able to cycle through the whole 5000 points up to 3 times.

In the picture you can see how very unlucky I was in not being able to reach 5000 this time (I cycled through only 2 times), and once Season 4 is over there is no way to earn more Tactics card packs and so no additional points can be earned.

The rewards are pretty nice, in this picture you can see all the rewards for the 5000 points.

  • 1 Core Tactics Card Choice Kit = it allows you to choose whatever core card you want
  • 1 Tactics Card Pack SSR
  • 1 Core Tactics Card Level Reset Token
  • 10 Tactics Card Pack R
  • 3 Tactics Card Pack SR
  • The Tactics card page also features progress bars for each card type. The more Tactics cards you collect, the greater the cards you can earn. these progress bars are reset every season.

Core cards: 2 purple cards at each milestone

Battle cards: 2 blue cards at each milestone

Resource cards: 2 blue cards at each milestone

  • Magatama Shop (each week has different items, check the linked article):
  • Alliance reward for killing Oni Generals, you will receive an email:
  • Mini Maneki-neko:

Drop Probabilities

Cards are dropped randomly opening the tactics cards packs.

Card pack types go from green (R) to gold (UR), the higher the card pack type the better the type of card that is dropped.

Let’s explore the probability for each card pack type.

Gold card pack (UR Tier)

Gold card packs will only drop core cards.

Purple card pack (SSR)

Even if this card pack type gives mostly battle SSR-Tier cards, it has low probabilities to give also core cards.

Blue card packs (SR)

This card pack type has even lower probability of dropping a Core Card.

Green card pack (R)

This type of card pack will NOT drop core cards.

Upgrade/Enhance Cards

It is possible to improve cards through 2 processes:

  • Ascend: This is available only for Core cards. Ascending a car will increase the % in the tactical skill
  • Enhance: This will allow to level up the cards, increasing the Basic Effect boost %

Core cards upgrade/enhance

  • Ascend the card merging the card with another one of the same type=> increase the tactical skill %
  • Enhance the card using professional EXP => increase Base Stats %
  • To ascend/enhance the card you need to install it first and access the card through the card deck
Ascend process
Tier up costs
  • 1/5 star: 1 core card (same type)
  • 2/5 star: 2 core cards (same type)
Enhance process
Core Cards Enhance costs
  • Level 1->2: 2M Profession EXP
  • Level 2->3: 2M Profession EXP

  • Level 6->7: 3.0M Profession EXP
  • Level 7->8: 4.0M Profession EXP
  • Level 8->9: 5.0 M Profession EXP
  • Level 9->10: 5.0 M Profession EXP

Battle/Resource cards enhancement

  • Enhance the card using Tactical Fragments => increase the Basic Effect boost %
  • To enhance the card you need to install it first and access the card through the card deck
Battle/Resource cards enhance costs
  • Level 1->2: 5K Tactical Fragments
  • Level 2->3: 5K Tactical Fragments
  • Level 3->4: 10K Tactical Fragments
  • Level 4->5: 12K Tactical Fragments

Reset Core Cards

It is possible to reset Core Cards and get back the Profession EXP, but some conditions apply:

  • You need a Core Tactics Card Level Reset Token
  • Squads need to be in your base
  • The card you want to reset must be unequipped, and therefore also not be in cooldown period

This is the Core Tactics Card Level Reset Token:

Let’s first see how to unequip a card:

Now that the card is unequipped we can proceed with the reset:

Clicking on a card in this list shows in the bottom the available Profession EXP quantity that would be returned with the reset.

Just select the card and hit Reset to complete the reset.

Dismantle Cards – Tactical Fragments

Battle Cards and Resource cards can be enhanced using Tactical Fragments .

It is possible to generate Tactical Fragments dismantling battle/resource cards. The feature is similar to what we are used to with gears.

To access the dismantling feature click on the lower bottom button in the Tactics cards deck.

IMPORTANT: Given that battle and resource cards are going to be removed at Season 4 ends it is imperative that you convert them into Tactical Fragments, else they are going to be converted into profession EXP and we saw in previous season that the conversion rate is always low.

Once you are in this screen, enter the Battle Cards or Resource Cards section and click on the Dismantle Button.

Then select which cards to dismantle and click Confirm.

You will immediately receive the Tactical Fragments (the total amount you own is visible in that page in the upper right corner).

Suggested Cards

Based on what cards you collected and updated and based on what your goals are you should change the Card Deck accordingly.

In this paragraph I will give a few suggestions on cards based on use cases.

Goal: Earn more tactics cards

The following cards allow you to earn more tactics cards:

Use this tactics card in conjunction with “Instant Gathering” skill to obtain immediately tactics cards.

Goal: Gain virus resistance + reduce damage from monsters

You will want to use tactics cards to gain virus resistance and reduced damage taken from monsters especially to kill dig site guardians, zombies and doom elites.

Goal: Increase resources

With these cards you will be able to increase plunder limit, harvest resources in gathering points and increase profession EXP.

Normal Mines/Fields: Click on the mine and use the card skill, you will instantly receive a bonus of the total amount of the resources still available in the mine, without affecting the mine.
Alliance Gathering points: Click on the gathering point and use the card skill, you will instantly receive a bonus of total amount of resources still available in the mine without it affecting the current amount available on the gathering point. So your current allies gathering will not be affected and you can also send your squad to collect.

IMPORTANT: The use of this card will not grant duel VS points for the resource gathered.

Battle Cards

Battle cards can be of 3 levels (in descending order of importance) and they focus on battle attributes/buffs:

  • Purple:
    • 1 Basic effect + 2-3 random stats
  • Blue
    • 1 Basic effect + 1 random stat
  • Green
    • 1 Basic effect

Reminder: Battle cards will be removed when Season 4 ends and they will be converted to professional EXP

Important things to note:

  • The green and blue cards are weaker DUPLICATES of the corresponding purple cards.
For example check the purple and blue “Mixed formation” battle cards: they have the same Basic Effect but with a lower strength
  • There is no green or blue card that does not exist in a purple variant.
  • Green and blue cards are optimal candidates to be dismantled to generate Tactical Fragments, but if you don’t have the corresponding purple card it might make sense to keep them.

Damage reversal and Damage Reduction Reversal are the perfect example of blue cards that you might want to keep if you don’t have the corresponding purple card. It is a powerful boost that can make a difference in a battle (just take into account that the % you see here is the max value).

Random stats index

Battle cards, in purple and blue variant, have additional buffs focused on battle that are assigned to each card in a random fashion. The buffs are random and immutable. You can however have same named cards with different random stats.

Currently it is tricky to check the random stats of your collected cards, because you need to access the Tactics card overview page and not the Tactics card index. Once you are in the Battle card section you can select each card to see the random stats.

Below you can find the list of all possible boosts that can be assigned as random buffs, it’s just a matter of luck.
There is no way to level up / enhance the random stats %.

All Battle Cards

Let’s now list all battle cards, but we will ignore their random stats section, because as we saw they are randomly assigned to cards.

Damage Reduction Reversal

Effect on: PvP (Players vs Players)

Basic Effect:

  • Reduces Damage Taken when countered up to 5.10%

Random Stats: 2-3

I see many people asking for what “Reduces Damage Taken when countered” means, so let me explain it here:

In the game the Counter refers to how the different hero types interact with each other when fighting:

  • Aircrafts receive less damage from Tanks, specifically -20%
  • Tanks receive less damage from Missiles, specifically -20%
  • Missiles receive less damage from Aircrafts, specifically -20%

If we want to say it in a different way we can say:

  • When facing an enemy tank squad, it’s generally more effective to attack using aircraft.
On average, you have a good chance of winning even if your squad’s power is about 20% lower than the enemy’s.
  • When facing an enemy aircraft squad, it’s generally more effective to attack using missiles.
On average, you have a good chance of winning even if your squad’s power is about 20% lower than the enemy’s.
  • When facing an enemy missiles squad, it’s generally more effective to attack using tanks.
On average, you have a good chance of winning even if your squad’s power is about 20% lower than the enemy’s.

What this card does is to reduce the damage taken when countered, this means that even if you use a tank against an aircraft, with the power of this card your squad will receive a lower damage from their aircraft, counteracting in part the 20% counter buff the aircraft has.

Warmind – Lethality Resistance

Effect on: PvP (Players vs Players)

Basic Effect:

  • After winning a PVP battle on the world map (up to 2 times, expires after returning to base), Squad Units casualties are reduced up to 1%

Random Stats: 2-3

Bulwark – Attribute Aura

  • At the beginning of the Defense Support battle, the Squad Heroes gain bonus for Attack, Defense, and HP up to 4%

Random Stats: 2-3

Defense Support:

Mixed Formation

Effect on: PvP (Players vs Players)

Basic Effect:

  • At the beginning of the battle, for each Troop Type in the squad, Squad Heroes gain bonuses for Attack, Defense, and HP up to 3%

Random Stats: 2-3

Attribute Aura

Effect on: PvP (Players vs Players)

Basic Effect:

  • In PVP battles on the world map, the 1st Squad Heroes gain bonuses for Attack, Defense, and HP up to 4%

Random Stats: 2-3

Damage Reversal

Effect on: PvP (Players vs Players)

Basic Effect:

  • Increases Damage when countered up to 2.55%

Random Stats: 2-3

I see many people asking for what “Increases Damage when countered” means, so let me explain it here:

What this card does is to increase the damage when countered, this means that even if you use a tank against an aircraft, with the power of this card the aircraft will receive a higher damage from your tanks, counteracting in part the 20% counter buff the aircraft has.

Resource cards are very similar to Battle cards on many aspects but they focus on resource attributes/buffs.

Any idea what happens to ‘Tactical Fragments’ at the end of season settlement? Trying to decide if these can be banked for a leg up on leveling next season if/when the purple cards return or if I should level cards that will get recycled.

Can you get back your tactical fragments if you enhance the wrong thing without having to dismantle it?

Right now there is only the feature to reset Core Cards, so as far as I know you can’t get back your tactical fragments from battle/resource tactical cards without dismantling them.
