The VIP Program in Last War: Survival Game is one of the most powerful progression systems. If your VIP status is activated it provides bonuses such as construction speed, resource production boosts, and combat advantages.
The VIP Program can be accessed through the VIP icon 
when you are in Base mode. If you are in World mode you just need to click on “Base” in the bottom right corner of the screen.

VIP Program structure
The VIP Program operates on a tiered structure with a total of 18 levels. Based on this level you can enjoy the corresponding privileges if you activate your VIP status. Regardless of how and how much you play your VIP level can only increase in time, never decrease.
Progression to higher levels necessitates the accumulation of VIP points, which in turn unlocks potentially increasingly substantial buffs (you still need to activate your VIP status to use them). Each level requires a higher amount of VIP points to be unlocked.
VIP Points are earned throughout the game in various activities and they can also be purchased with diamonds.
Reaching VIP18 level is the ultimate goal, but clearly it is limited to high spenders.
Below a quick comparison of VIP1 and VIP 18 privileges (of which you see only the partial list).
VIP Page details
In the VIP page you can see from top to bottom the following info:
- your current VIP level on the top of the page and in the ribbon on the left.
IMPORTANT: being VIP 11 as in the image on the side does not automatically mean that you have the privileges of the corresponding VIP level. In fact you need to ACTIVATE your VIP status to access those privileges. In the image on the side you can see that it says “VIP Privileges (Locked)” and at the bottom of the page the “UNLOCK” button, meaning that in this case the VIP status is not active.
- the advancement to the next VIP level on the green progress bar based on collected VIP Points, there is a button to buy additional VIP Points
- The shopping cart icon allows you to access the VIP Store
- freebie daily golden chest
at the right upper corner of the page, just click on it every day to get the rewards
- the selected VIP level and its perks. Use arrows to move between level and preview the perks of other levels. IMPORTANT: these buffs are active only if your VIP status is active.
- a freebie daily blue chest right under the VIP level description. This is available only if your VIP status is activated.
- VIP Exclusive chest that provide items, but more importantly special survivors
- your VIP status:
- you see the Unlock button if your VIP status is not active
- you see the remaining VIP time if your VIP status is active
VIP level and activation
For new players the concept of VIP level and its activation status is a bit confusing so I will explain it better in this chapter.
VIP1 at the beginning of the game
The moment you start playing the game you will be assigned the VIP 1 level, nothing strange here.
But being VIP 1 as in the image on the side, does not automatically mean that you have the privileges of the corresponding VIP level.
In fact, in this image you can see that your VIP1 privileges are Locked, and the game allows you to unlock them clicking on the button “UNLOCK” at the bottom.
Clicking on the “UNLOCK” button at the bottom, the games allows you to purchase an Unlock Timer of different time sizes.
So you have the opportunity to invest 1000, 3000, 10000 diamonds to unlock and so activate your VIP status for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
There is an additional option, that is to purchase the Monthly pass (~30€) that will gift you automatically 30 days of VIP status.
Since our VIP status is not active, the privilege of Boost Food Output +5%, that is part of the VIP1 privileges, is not active either.
To check this click on your Headquarter building, click on the stats button (the second blue icon) and then go to the economy tab.
VIP activation
So let’s see now how to activate the VIP status and so get access to its privileges.
Let’s spend 1.000 diamonds! Click UNLOCK, then choose “Buy & Use 1000 diamonds” and confirm.
Now our VIP1 status is ACTIVE:
- The VIP1 Daily Freebie can be redeemed
- The UNLOCK button changed into a button with a countdown of 24 hours.
- Clicking on the countdown button you can purchase additional VIP time.
Now let’s check if the privileges of the VIP1 level is actually active.
To check this, as previously done, click on your Headquarter building, click on the stats button (the second blue icon) and then go to the economy tab.
And CONGRATULATIONS, there it is: +5.00 % Boost Food Output.
VIP Points
Players have essentially 2 options to increase their VIP level:
- play the game and earn VIP points for free: there are multiple activities that allow you to earn VIP points
- purchase additional VIP Points spending diamonds.
Once the green progress bar of the current VIP level is filled you will proceed to the next level and the progress bar will track the advancement to the next level.
Clicking on the 
button, next to the green progress bar, you can purchase additional VIP points to expedite the reaching of the next VIP level, this makes only sense if you have a lot of spare diamonds or if you want to take advantage of the 1 hour bonus as described in the next paragraphs.
VIP time purchase: Best strategy for free-to-play
As we saw you have the option to purchase as much VIP time as you desire ( clicking on the button at the bottom of the page ):
- 1.000 diamonds = 24 hours
- 3.000 diamonds = 7 days
- 10.000 diamonds = 30 days
When you buy more time it gets added to the one you already have if you already unlocked the VIP.
Best strategy for free-to-play:
- At the beginning of the game, when you still have a low diamond amount, start buying 24 hours
- The more you proceed in the game and accumulate diamonds, or purchase them, try to buy 7 days. You should be able to buy the 30 days package already at level 17 if you spare the diamonds and don’t waste them on other purchases.
- I HIGHLY suggest that you activate always 30 day VIP if possible, it’s the best investment of diamonds regardless of your VIP level.
VIP activation: Is it worth it?
Yes! VIP is the best investment for diamonds because it increases among other buffs:
- Construction speed
- Resource production
- Research speed
- Combat effectiveness
VIP becomes especially valuable from VIP 5 onward, when major bonuses unlock.
1 hour Bonus VIP Time
There is a small trick that many don’t notice: whenever you reach a new VIP level because you collected the right amount of VIP points (see the green progress bar on top of VIP screen), you will receive 1 hour free VIP time if you don’t have it already.
So at the beginning of the game, if you don’t have many diamonds and so you don’t have the VIP Program activated, if you watch closely the progression of the VIP points you can purchase a little amount of VIP points to trigger the 1 hour bonus when you decide so that you are in control of when to use it.

VIP 18 Exclusive Perk
VIP18 level deserves a dedicated paragraph!
If you are lucky enough to reach this level you will have an additional perk: devs will create an Exclusive Base Skin for you!

Follow these expert strategies to get the most value from your VIP program — whether you’re a free-to-play or a spender:
- Stay consistent: Maintaining an always-active VIP status is one of the best long-term investments in Last War: Survival — steady progress beats short bursts.
- Activate VIP before major tasks: Always turn on VIP before starting long construction projects, research upgrades, or troop training. Most VIP bonuses apply only to new actions started during active VIP time.
- Save diamonds for 30‑day activations: The 30‑day VIP unlock offers the best diamond-to-time ratio. Prioritize this option whenever possible for continuous buffs and daily rewards.
- Use free VIP chests daily: Never forget to claim your daily golden and blue VIP chests — they provide free items and VIP points that accumulate over time.

10. Does activating VIP reduce upgrade times already in progress?
No. VIP bonuses apply only to construction, research, or training started while VIP status is active. If you activate VIP after an upgrade has already begun, the remaining time will not be reduced.

Correct, you always have to buy more VIP time with diamonds, it expires. But from my experience you can accumulate enough diamonds playing for free to always activate VIP time.

I like my alliance but I know the #1 alliance has big spenders which can boost my vip points quicker…is that alone worth switching?
Yes it is worth it both for vip points and alliance rewards, but consider that top alliances usually have requirements of minimum points in duel vs or request your participation in warzone duel. If you cannot keep up with the requirements you most probably will be kicked from the alliance. So before switching make sure you are up to the task of joining top alliances.

Just a question about the VIP. Should it be on during the entire construction process? Or at the start of an upgrade of a building? Yhat saves 9000 diamonds if you start a 24hr VIP
To use the construction buff of VIP program you need it only when you start the construction. But the VIP program gives also many other advantages based on what level you are on.

It looks like I can purchase 30 days of any “VIP Privileges” for 10,000 diamonds. Why would I choose anything less than Privileges18 if it includes everything from the previous Privileges?

You can’t choose the VIP level. Your VIP level is the one in the progress bar on to upper part of the screen. You can scroll to see privileges of all VIP levels. When you purchase 30 days of VIP you are purchasing the one of your current VIP level.
